can't search for it if it doesn't have a name
there is a large round hole in the tin on the left, left and forward of the coil. and an oval hole on the right. the hoses for the heating assist fan go to those locations.
Do they get a seal or grommet? does anyone have a name or part number?
there is a small hose on the oval charcoal canister. the clear plastic hose attached there ends in a T fitting. no idea what connects to this T. Maybe the Vapor hoses?
the slanted part of the charcoal canister - top left, top right, ?
Y fitting for decel valve and brake booster. Do I need a metal pipe in the straight end to mate with the hard plastic brake booster hose? _________________ 73 Beetle Baja, Ghia front brakes, Type 3 rear brakes, 2220 ( 94 X 80 ), Weber Progressive, Bosch SVDA, '97 Mustang seats

I search grommet and they come up. Here is the info from German Supply. Good luck finding them in stock anywhere though. If you do, let me know.

No, just stick it in. If you need the y fitting, there are good repops available at Airhead Parts. _________________ *****************

both went NLA about 2 - 3 years ago but they turn up occasionally. I bought a couple of the round ones on e-bay as there is a Porsche guy who sells them (look like repops) occasionally. The oval ones were the last to go NLA from VW and the guy (serial kombi) in France was still advertising some but one must call Pascal or e-mail him before one gets hopes up as sometimes he hasn't updated his site to his inventory. Also call Scott because sometimes he has them but doesn't show inventory available correctly on his website. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

Until you find one, vacuum hose sliced horizonally will do for a while. |
