As far as 16" wheel flares, people are always asking about them. What I would like to see (and would buy) are 14" Tristar flares!
With no modification needed to the body, I think there would be a larger market for these vs the 16's. _________________ Currently:

I would be interested in one as well. Funny, my only carnage from mogfest this year was the locker panel. |

Looks like you're off the hook JK. I'm going to order one from Van Cafe. _________________ 89 Syncro Westy - GW 2.5, now with a double knob job

Very cool project. If the locker panels don't work out, maybe you could do other hard to find interior trim pieces.
My old 1980 had a Behr A/C system. The radio had been moved and installed in a trim piece at the front of the heater vents. I'd love to have one of these in black for my Syncro. Leave the space on the dash open for other things.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. All Vanagon related projects are on hold until my season winds down, which will be in a couple of weeks. I'm a crop dusting pilot, which requires working 7 days a week, sun up to sun down..I can only dream about all of my van projects for now...
I was shocked when I saw that Van Cafe had the panels for $10.00. I actually went to go buy some, but they are out of stock.
In any event, my plan is to make an aftermarket/modified one. Now that I see Van Cafe doesn't have stock, I may still make some original styles.
I'm still trying to brainstorm ideas for an aftermarket one. If anyone has ideas, sketches, etc, I am very interested to see! I have some ideas in mind...
Thanks,
Scott |

Man.....It seems I'm pretty good at starting projects and not finishing them....
The spray season is all over, but now I'm wrapped up with aircraft maintenance, sending a helicopter overseas, and working with the FAA on another certificate.
To say the least, things have been busy.
With that being said, the plan is to still move forward with both a stock looking replacement and a aftermarket setup for additional stuff on both the Syncro and 2WD.
Not sure of an ETA yet, but I will be sure and update everyone once I get the time.
Thanks

This is for sale in Seattle. Was listed at $500.00 last week, now is listed for $300.00. Guessing this is probably not what you really want, but who knows...

Pretty opportunistic pricing considering it doesn't include the vacuum switches.
But thanks for posting, as the photos will be useful when it comes time to put mine back together. _________________ '87 Syncro/Westy Homebrew
