Has anyone on here tried putting them in the dishwasher?

If so, what was the outcome?

I'm thinking of putting mine in without stripping them down.

Spot blaster and baking soda. Then dip them in a pan of boiling water to get rid of the baking soda residue- disassembled, of course. Wear a respirator when blasting the baking soda.

Put them in your dishwasher and you'll never use it for dishes again.

I use an ultrasonic cleaner (heated) and put a cascade action pack in it. I run it a couple cycles depending on how dirty they are, then I rinse the parts in water then into a CLR bath where I scrub them with a plastic bristle brush then a final water rinse and blow them out with compressed air.
The last set I did I coated with Eastwood's diamond clear coat before assembly to help protect them and to make them look a little better. Not sure how the coating will hold up but time will tell.
