It looks pretty good for your area.
Those front bulk head panels look really nice. |
I agree, that's my favorite interior colors on busses.
Good luck on the resto, we will be watching so keep the updates coming.
Gordo. |

Progress report.
I ordered Auto Craft rockers etc. in mid-June from Francisco at Vintage Wagen, and ordered floors from Wolfsburg West in early July. Rodney, the metal man doing cutting and welding, has fixed the driver's door, cut the rockers, and removed cargo floor.
I will post pics after I see the bus. |

I love it when people are going to 'restore' a bus, they whip out the grinder and randomly start grinding away. Then they get bored, and leave the exposed metal. Or they take it all apart for no reason.
Good project and good to see it in someone's hands who's going to put it back on the road _________________ "There is only one sin; disconnection from self." |

Obilgatory "skeleton" pics of forward progress. The remaining metal is looking better than I thought as I was expecting the worst:

Slow, but steady.
Front floor is in. I am ordering bottoms of B, C and D pillars, plus the right rear jack point/outrigger, and the outer cross-member sections tomorrow from Vintage Wagen.
I will have time to go see the bus in 1.5 weeks and will post pictures. |

Hi,
I was curious as to what replacement cargo rocker you used?
Is that Autocraft, or KF? It looks to me like
Autocraft unless you removed the paint. I need to buy one and I'm undecided if I will go the KF or Autocraft route.
Thank you |

It's Autocraft. The rockers fit great and have excellent profiles. I'm very impressed with the quality of stampings. |
