I am trying to find the vehicle ID label on my 1990 Westy to find the paint code. Owners manual says it's under dash LH side. I have looked but don't see it. There is an ID label on the LH B pillar, but it does not look like the photo in the owners manual or seem to contain that much information. Do I need to remove the fuse rack or steering column covers to see it?

Mine (an 84) was by the d/s door -- as I recall, below the A pillar:
But it is just a paper label so perhaps yours got lost.
If you post a pic of your Westy I expect someone can tell you what color & code you have as the choices were finite and few.
Or.. you might plug in your year & model on any of the many paint sites, like this one:
