62 bus with original engine case.

I recently inherited a bus that was in some sort of inbetween stage of 6v to 12v conversion (possibly completed and driven that way, I don't know yet).

Either way, I got the engine out the other day and this is what I found:

Whats up with the metal bits? Leftovers from grinding?

Additionally, how does the grinding work look to people? Ugly but funcitonal?

Tips? Advice?

When the early type of pressure plate comes in the box it has clips stuck into it to keep it compressed. Those are the clips that should have been removed before installation of the PP. Doubt if anything got damaged, except maybe a few dinged FW teeth.

There is also an oil leak.
If it is stinky gear oil your need a new tranny shaft seal.

If it is engine oil, you need a new main seal/ o ring and might as well change the oil cooler seals at the same time.

For sure. I don't understand how the clutch even worked as that holds the pressure part from applying.
