I drive a full 84 Westy just to start out.

-What rating of jack do you all use for the aformentioned Westy, 2.5, 3 ton?(I do not have the original VW jack)

-The little light in the back above the kitchen uses a 2-prong bulb I've never seen, does anyone have a part number for this little guy?

Nice Van Wink

I cant answer the Jack question other than to say the original jack isn't very safe to begin with and yer van weighs around 5k all in.

For the lamp, I'd recommend going warm white LED for replacement. It's a G4 lamp base
Any of these would work:

Have fun

Blue Bay Bus At home I use a 3 ton floor jack. On the road I use a high lift jack with the adapter for a van. Very Happy

Check out the scissor jack from Bus Depot. Works with the stock jack points and is much more stable than the original Bilstein jack that came with the van. Works very well for roadside repair. I keep a couple in the van to help make things nice and stable when camping.

For a floor jack, the bigger the better. The price difference between 2 ton and 4 ton is usually not that much. Spend a bit more up front and you will be happy with it for a long time.

Van Cafe offers a complete LED replacement bulb kit for the camper for less than $40.00:

You can get them cheaper on eBay or at www.superbrightleds.com if you don't want to do the whole van. There should be some part numbers on this thread:
