I've started checking your mog thread and it looks like an incredible vehicle. The rear compartments, and steps, are amazing. Can't wait to see what you do with it!

I've been recently studying your solar system on your syncro as I'm building one for my westy. What did you end up using for the custom waterproof port for the wires through the fiberglass top? I've been contemplating a roof box, but want something much less pronounced and low profile...

The new owner of my Syncro is still using and enjoying it often. He did have the transmission rebuilt as it was getting hard to shift and had an engine fire on the way home from the shop! Apparently the shop had not carefully angled the battery cable connection on the starter to properly clear the body and it shorted out. When it shorted the van died and he coasted to a stop where he noticed smoke...Luckily he was able to catch it in time and put it out with the extinguisher I had installed. The van came through unharmed minus a new starter, new battery cable and a coolant hose. Close Call!

Loved the build, did it sell to someone on the list or someone who may join the list ?
As always to keep prices realistic ,what did it sell for ? Come on fess up. Whoever got that van got one of the best built vans I have seen here or anywhere. I's buy that over a G.W. any day.
These vans are a labor of love, So really the question is how many hours did you put into it and how much an hour did you make in the end. I can do quick calculations in my head. So fire away.
