Try every time it snows, or it's cold enough for frost. They're still salting here, and it's the 2nd week of April. We're going to need a few heavy rains to wash it off the roads. It's been a cold winter this year. |
Well, we salt our oceans around here! And that's all year round. |
Yeah, but you don't drive in your ocean. Do you? |
No, but damn close.

I've known about this car for years, a friend said he was going to buy it so I shut up. Then another "friend" needed a window and I told him about it. Never bothered...
I've been told the glass is/was perfect - havent seen it close up. It's where I got my missing seat spears, mirrors, sunvisors, some misc stuff. Owner is very nice local shop owner saying he is gonna retire

When closed?
The extra weight from barnacles on the door have probably messed up the hinges though _________________ How to Post Photos

Does it come with a free tetanus shot?
I wonder if there's tetanus and then there's German tetanus like there's measles and then there's German measles. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Very nice score. Does this mean your other T-34 is temporarily on the back burner? _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Well here are few pics, more in the gallery. The car had a newspaper under the floormat from a day I was born in 1983 and most likely the car has been out of the road since then. And what are the chances on that!

Hohoo! That's a find, congratulations!
It looks like you could drive it just like that, only some cleaning needed. _________________ Kharon -- '62 typ1, '63 typ14, '61 typ21, '65 typ34, '74 412, '75 typ26

Yes they were but the center section of the drivers seat needs to be replaced.
I did a small research and seems like the reproduction fabric that was awailable has been sold out.
I will try to get the upholstery washer next week and see how well they cleanup. _________________ -58 Typ2 ambulance

Small update on mine: Chassis has progressed so far that we could paint it, a major step forward.
Arcona white and black roof it is then, after a lot of pondering.
After painting we noticed that a friend of ours has almost similar colour scheme in his new car, damn. There weren't any white T34s around here earlier so we thought a white one would be nice.
(
http://kharon.suomiforum.com/www/ssya_2018/P6301014.JPG
if interested. Not exactly the same though, AFAIK it's Lotus White)
No pictures yet as interior and roof are painted and papered over so painter can paint the rest, not much to see than brown paper and unpainted steel.
Body is already done so somewhere in the autumn starts the final assembly, no hurry and couple of months for paint to harden through isn't a bad idea.
Also a lot of other things to do in summer, I finally got some progress to new engine for my 412: Stuck cylinders cut away and engine halves almost separated yesterday. 'Almost' as something still sticks, continues later today. _________________ Kharon -- '62 typ1, '63 typ14, '61 typ21, '65 typ34, '74 412, '75 typ26
