Ray is well aware of my issue. He said the machinist who made the rotors felt they need more clearance, in turn less boost. Mine is 1 of 3 I have talked to the others that have the same issue as me. Ray said he has corrected the problem on later ones and ones he had in stock. I am still waiting for either the new rotors or for Ray to get hold of me to send mine back and have repaired. Mine was out of the first production batch he made. I would love to have one that worked so I can finish the engine _________________ Stocking distributor of "The Funky Green Panels"

I have #37 and #38 out of the production run. I'd like to have one of the new rotors too, but don't hold your breath (you'll turn blue). Waiting in the mean time will give me more time to break the engine in by driving it in the car. _________________ 30 years experience in the sales of new and used auto parts!

Made a tattle-tale gauge like Bville Tom told me. Mine put out about 7 pounds of boost when I ran it on the salt last time I was out. Gained an extra 5mph right out of the box (installed while waiting in line to run). I don't think you will have any worries. |
Ok. Hopefully I'll be fine then. Engine is getting built with a set of 1.4 to 1 rockers and going to be run in like that, then I'll fit the blower _________________ 1963 Karmann Ghia - Sold
