Found these pictures in the archives of Amsterdam. They were taken in 1962.
The license RV-15-03 is very early january 1959 which makes this an early double cab.

The doublecab didn't come out with semaphores when introduced on 03-11-1958. |

Maybe? I don't know.
I've wondered in the past why no one has a semaphore Double cab but I thought maybe they were all lost to rust.
Low production at that time plus European weather. _________________ How to Post Photos

I think those very early 55 Wolfsburg buses had some structural issues...possibly combined with cross wind problems...
at least they can haul away their own debris. thats what I call environment friendly.

Damn! Just roll her back onto her wheels, hop back in and off ya go! Somebody's got big balls to drive that like that...

my point exactly. There would have to be crewcabs with semaphores. prolly just not many made. Just think how few Binz crewcabs were built. _________________ regards

I have never seen one and the German book "VW Transporter - Die technische dokumentation 1950-1990" is mentioning that the double cab came out with the newer indicators also for the German market.
