Unfortunately not in service any more due to high costs.
I once got to fly on one of the Ju-Air JU 52 s. That was a real experience. |
What a righteous airplane. |

was fortunate enough to see it flying around neuschwanstein castle on a sunny summer afternoon - what an amazing sound, a heavy ropp-ropp, totally different from anything else I've heard (merlins etc) _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut

25 years ago I was at Willow Run(YIP) for airshow arrival day and it was insane. 4 B17, 3 B25, 1 B29, several C47, a Super Connie, 5 P51, several Corsair, several AT6 and a few A10 and F16 from the local ANG base. It was pretty impressive to see and I am sure the local ATC was busy as it's about 10 miles from Detroit Metro(DTW). |

looks like somebody either spliced a high roof cab on an older pick-up or they converted a highroof? _________________ regards

That appeared on single cab pages on Facebook a few days ago.
Doesn't look like a converted highroof unless they grafted a front end on to a single cab (the engine vents are too low for a bus/van).
The roof looks a bit like it's just sat on top of the original roof and there's a panel behind the cab.
I wonder if it's something like an airport truck with a 'follow me' sign on the back of the elevated roof? No warning lights on the roof though.
Other than that, I can only imagine it's an extension to protect a tall load or tall tilt. A bit like the roof extensions on truck tractor units, (but those are used to reduce drag).
I tried googling the logo, but 'phi' looks pretty common. Anyone recognise the number plate format? _________________ Andy
Looking for info on my truck's history. Are you from Campbell California or nearby. Do you recognise it? ... http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=636786 |

Click on it then click again. Three rows down from the top is another bus but that one looks to have a sway bar. |
