Ooops!
The equivalent of Boy Scouts?
I wonder if a kid did that or the scout leader. |
in germany you don't get to drive until you are 18. so i say the scout leader did it |
Or it was a Ranger/Rover scout. (16 to 25 years of age)
What really gets me is that there Boy and Girl Scouts in the picture. Coed in scouts in Germany didn't really start until the beginning to mid 70ies.
Unfortunately some of the old albums from my troop in Giessen got lost. I can remember old pictures from the 60ies from a scout trip to Sweden with old split buses. _________________ - Michael

Why would I spend money on a new motor when I have a perfectly good horse? _________________

probably only blinded by the sun.
Bus is from Kärnten, Carinthia, Austria and that is probably the Hochtor Parking lot on the Großglockner summit. Must be summer as the shadows are very short and sun is standing high. The glacier reflecting all the sunlight won't help either.
Gretel needs to get out her shades and put on a smile !
If you had been there in person, you'd know better what I am trying to explain. The daylight in Alpine regions can be blazing.
neat pic, anyways !

Thank you Pau. That's one of my favorite old photos.
I always wondered what was done to the front axle to make the front track wider. (The wheels stick out in front.) _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

Hmm, that would make it almost impossible to make turns. The wheels would rub with the slightest turn. _________________ - Michael
