I have a 1973 Brazilian import 1500 cc Splitscreen... the engine won't fire it turns over ok.. ialso have a baywindow 1600 1974 baywindow camper which is unfortunately not worth saving apart from the engine.... would this engine fit into the splitscreen. Would I have to change anything or use an adaptor plate etc
Thank you

Is the target Bus swing axle or "IRS"? I'm not familiar with the Brazilian options.
Engine will "fit" but mounting may vary and possible need the rear carrier, which the swing Buses lack mounting for. _________________ Current Fleet:

Yes, you can put a 1600 Type 1 based engine into your Brazilian Split Bus.
You need to look at the pressure plate to make sure they are the same style.
BTW, I am currently working on replacing the 1500SP in a Brazilian Split with a 2017cc engine. _________________ Glenn
