My guess is the WW seat is the same seat as the Amazon offering. It can also be sourced from Classic Steel Body https://classicsteelbody.com/ and even Summit. I ordered one from Summit (scheduled to arrive today) who had the lowest price and free shipping.

I would like to hear a review on this also. I think Rafferty told me it was an "OK" product but I have not seen one in person.

That is where I saw Mark's comment about the frame being "OK", maybe Conduit size. I need one and can't find correct metric 20mm tubing so I may get one of these also.

I bought one of those off Amazon. It works well for the price. One of the flimsy upholstery spikes fell off when I was covering it. And that was only using my hand to open it. I'm sure they'll all break off if I ever tried to cover it again.

I'm looking to replace my original front seat and backrest, as they are both pretty shot on the drivers side. I'm wondering, since time has passed, if there are any new or updated opinions on the options for a new front seat frame.

Thanks!

(post about Classic Steel Body frame and the "OK" United Pacific ones: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=775015&highlight=summit+seat )

From what it seems, there are a few options, Classic Steel Body, United Pacific, CIP1, Wolfsburg West, and used original.

Classic Steel Body - $749 (+ tax and shipping?): https://classicsteelbody.com/collections/bus-rear-...1955-60-t1

United Pacific from Summit Racing - $694 (+tax, free shipping): https://www.summitracing.com/parts/upd-110227

CIP1 - $735 (no tax, free shipping): https://www2.cip1.com/vwc-211-881-370/

Wolfsburg West - $770 (+tax and shipping): https://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=211881800
