I have doors off car with panels off (67). I have an air sander that I plan on using to grind off the old paint and rust. Should I remove the glass ? How do you remove the chrome trim on the doors window frame ? |

Personally I would remove everything that you can unbolt. If it were a simple scuff and shoot then I would just tape it off but if you are stripping off old paint and rust you might as well take the extra time and do it right. It will be a much cleaner job in the end. _________________

Check out "brighteyefilms" on youtube. He's got a ton of how-to videos a few specifically on tearing down and rebuilding doors.
I would suggest taking everything out trim and all, prep & paint, then re-assemble with new components.
Wolfsburg West sells a great rebuild kit for the doors; comes with all the seals, scrapers and clips you'll need. _________________ '63 slow n low build thread...
