Are there any "after" pics, assuming that you've succumbed to the urge to clean and buff the shit out of it? |

thanks I am more than stoked. The guy thought it was a 61 deluxe, but he had vw's all over the place and was passioinate about all of them, but the only reason he picked the bus up in 83 was to get the tranny and RGB out of it for a buggy, but he never did that. Lucky me.

A pressed bumper 15 would no doubt convert me!
I love me some 15s!

Paul, for a east-coast bus the rust doesn't look that bad?
I've seen allot worst even out here. |
True dat. My 13W is from San Diego and has substantial rain gutter rust. A common misnomer is that buses from Cali are rust free...def. not true. _________________ Call your Cunado's:

X3! My previous bus was super solid... from the bumpers up! The chassis was literally falling off. Eventually ended all cut up. In total contrast, I once bought another '65 parts bus which was smashed front & back. This one was rusted over the top, holes on the roof and such, but the chassis looked like forkin new!
Storage is a huge factor in any vehicle's longevity, even if it is close to the beach and like that. That's why I try to garage my buses whenever possible. _________________ Some people are so busy being clever they don't have time enough to be wise. |

It's crazy how some Buses rust worse than others.
It's like my old laundry panel, every other split bus in the same junkyard was insanely rusty, not even a question about them being junk and they'd all been sitting less time than mine had been.

I have to give a big shout out to Earl and the cambodians who took Joey and I under their wings and made us feel like family while we were in California. If it was not for them the trip to OCTO would not have been possible. |
What!? You don't think we do it that way Paul!? I'm kinda offended That's how we roll and take care of our kind, Cuņado's. Looks like you and Earl are big time Cuņado's, you have something in common. 15 Window Buses. I hope this doesn't interfer with Chad Carter Jr lll and Cuņado Earl?
Let me tell you something about the Cambodian's, aside from them being masters on the grill, these guys are FREAKIN awesome! They are always out for your best interest and won't pull one over you. Like most butt holes do! True buddies or as we say in So Cali ........... Cuņado's for life!
Any hoot ............ your bus is BAD O DEE !!!! Pressed bumper 15 Windows are RARE!! They are so unique and on a league of their own. I look forward to seeing the progress on your bus, so keep the pictures coming. Next time you are in town or if I end up heading over to the Bulli Brigade, remind to tell you a story similar to yours. I kick myself ALL THE time when its brought up!!!! JODER!!
BTW - you left a good impression on the Wolf! When she read this thread she said " no one is more deserving then him". She also said you can come back anytime. But not the guy from Colorado |
