No, those screws are a quick fix thing. I hope the owner that installed those screws didn't get any more bright fixing ideas. |

Can any brave Samba soul guess the original color of Richard's 1957 Ghia?
If you are a Ghia expert and get it wrong, your credibility will not be tainted...However, if you are a Non-Ghia expert and get it right, all Samba minions will bow down to your infinite glory...
Hint: It is one of 7 colors offered in Ghias between Jan 1956 to August 1957. |

I'll guess Pelican Red. _________________ 9th Owner of a 1971 Tintop Westy

L353 brilliant red with a black roof. Congrats on the low light. Kgpr reproduced the widow trim for the quarter window to cut down on the excessive wind noise. I believe around 50 each. |

Those who noticed the red peaking from under have real sharp eyes |

I believe the rocker seam was smoothed out for aerodynamics, allowing it to achieve its top speed of 28mph - while being towed.
I accurately clocked this speed as it pulled far ahead a Ferrari F40 that was parked.
Soon after, a reckless man on a fixed gear bicycle overtook all three vehicles (Tow truck, Ghia atop tow truck, and parked F40), symbolically leaving everyone in shame...
True story... |

Per Ricahrd's request, I gave his Ghia a bit of attitude with a drop and some wheels.
New look -
