wiring my 66 bug,I have a total of 5 wires coming out of the turn signal .brown/white,brown,black /white/green,black/white and black/green.can someone help with where the brown/white and brown wires go?these wires come out turn signal located inside car.

There is no solid brown wire in this diagram.that seems to be the same no matter where i look.

I see a solid brown wire...

The headlight dimmer switch ground... it grounds the switch on one of the speedo mount screws.

In a VW brown is ground. Any terminal on a brown wire should show a good connection (0 ohms) between that terminal and the body or frame.

Its the short wire on the turn signal switch - look carefully. Its a ground and its for the headlight dimmer.
