67 front brakes vs 68 up

Searched and searched but couldn't get exactly the answer I was after and when it comes to brakes I don't take chances.

Guys, I am going through and restoring the front brakes on my 67 pan and found a bunch of mismatched parts from the PO.

I found that he has the wrong brake shoes (best I can tell they are actually rear shoes from a 68 up according to a brake shoe chart I found on here) He also has two different backing plates.

The brake shoes are no biggie...just buy the correct set. My question is...are the backing plates interchangeable?

"B" is a newer backing plate.
