This is what I want to do to mine but where do you find a speedo cable long enough to reach the middle of the dash?

The dash was cracked so I put a dash pad on it but cut part of the dash out and found some matching carpet to put in it. Now I can put stuff up on the dash. Also changed the steering wheel.

What steering wheel is that?

It's a water cooled VW wheel, i can't remember off what for sure. It is a little smaller diameter. I had to bend the windshield wiper switch some.

Could have been off a Mexican 90's beetle. I think the guy I got it from had one he parted out.

Waiting to get my car back from paint now but I'm putting a digital single round ga back in the orig hole... It's a Harley ga. With tach speed fuel and I think either oil temp or pressure... Reads tach from one plug lead... Has a few settings for different front wheel size... Something to play with... That's why this is the custom dash thread... No purist totally custom...
That's how we roll...
