Moderator's note: I moved this to the General forum since i'm sure there will be additional VWs on the show.

Did anyone catch this? I'm not sure what body it was. It had a very unique rear end on it. However they kept calling it a Manx which it clearly wasnt. It was driving me crazy. To top it all off he sold it for $20k!

Look on the positive side, it helps raise the value of all of our buggy's.

Some people see that show, get interested in buying a buggy, see yours advertised for 6K and think it is a bargin and do no beat you down on the price.

I haven't seen the episode yet, but just set up the Tivo last night to record all episodes. I'll have to check it out.

Looks like an expensive paint job and tires, for $ 20 K.

What was done to it other than paint and tires?

It does look like a good deal for the initial purchase of $ 5500.00.

OK folks.....Ya gotta keep in mind that "reality" TV is far from reality. Nice buggy, but are the numbers real? Who knows, but it makes for nice TV.

I think the guy that bought spent the extra $15K so he could be on TV.

Looks like the coated the tires and sprayed the engine tin.

Look at the scene where he says "the engine looks good"

The other car they worked on the never fixed the problem of the windshield height.

Yeah, I didn't see much difference when the guy actually sat in it.

There's NO WAY they got $20k for a buggy. I thought his buying price was way too high too.
