Just got this bus...

There appears to be something missing between the push button on the rear hatch and the latch mechanism. Can anyone fill in the blanks?

The lever and it's screw, dig around in the hatch, it's usually in there somewhere.

No such luck. Any clue on the screw size/thread for a makeshift replacement?

Another question... when I turn the key and rotate it 90° and then push the button, the cylinder shouldn't move, right? My cylinder moves (in and out with the button presses) when the key has placed in either position.

the button will still move in/out no matter the position. all the key does is turn the lever so it pushes the latch,(unlocked) or moves out of the way so the latch will not be pressed (locked)

I'd look again in the door with a mirror and light. If still no they are pretty easy to find used ones.

That scar on the side of the left thumb, that looks real familiar . . .

(actually, so does the latch assembly, "King?" I asked)

I'll bet it does, it was the first applicable pic that came up in the gallery searching "cargo latch", Robbie should get photo credit for depicting your part Wink

I have an original lever and a screw that fits if you need it.
