The famous $524 roof top tent that can switch to any car you have, and that comes off your tintop in minutes for its daily driver life.....
What's cool is we later discovered that it doesn't have to live on the roof and be secured against wind and weathering. It fits PERFECTLY in the cargo area. So now we leave the plywood base up there (also a cool place to sit with lawn chairs with a superb view) and toss it up there upon arrival.
It's much bigger than it looks, too. Note how far forward it goes, and it is probably 8" narrower than the factory rear bed. We've used it on the Cruiser, the Mitsubishi, the Vanagon and on the ground. We even contemplated putting it on the new Outback for fun to see if it works. _________________ 1987 2WD Wolfsburg Vanagon Weekender "Mango", two fully locked 80 Series LandCruisers. 2017 Subaru Outback boxer. 1990 Audi 90 Quattro 20V with rear locking differential, 1990 burgundy parts Vanagon. 1984 Porsche 944, 1988 Toyota Supra 5 speed targa, 2002 BMW 325iX, 1982 Toyota Sunrader |
