Shift shaft bushing 65 912

how do you go about changing the shift shaft bushing on a 65 912?? is there a plate like a bug where you can pull the shaft forward & change the bush? does the bracket unbolt? any body done one?thanks.

Pretty much like a bug, remove the rear coupler under the back seat plate. Unscrew the shift plate bolts. Remove shifter. You now have access to the shift rod bushing. I think you'll have to remove the coupler on the front end of the shift rod. Easy 30 min job.
