Say, looking at the pics of that new find reminds me of something I've wondered about from time to time.
Can someone (maybe a couple someones) post pics of their 1973 Correct instrument cluster?
I think my speedo may have been changed with an earlier version but I'm not entirely sure.
Bill, do you have a WW now? I was thinking you'd sold yours with the intent of finding another one. Did you find one?
Good luck avoiding the hurricane. Or not avoiding it, as it seems.

Yes i sold mine but my son moved to Florida a year and a half ago and his wild westerner is here in my custody, therefore i take it out of the trailer every few months to play with.
Yes i am in the market for a automatic wild westerner for my daughter.
Some of you have heard this before.
Why are most hurricanes named after women. ?
Answer
Because when they come they are wet and wild and when they leave they take your house and your car.

That'd be me. 
Bill, I got the stickers you sent. Thanks! I'll put them on and post photos once I get my bus back from the mechanic. I talked to him this morning and he said there's a lot of buzz about my bus around the shop. I took it out to the local flea market as well and got everyone's wild VW stories when they came by my booth and saw the green machine.
The best thing driving it so far was when I was pulling out of the gas station and a little kid yelled "SCOOBY DOO!"

Looking at some of the previous posts I am seeing some real intuitive people in our group.
I have an idea for a product that i feel the right person could produce and may turn out to be a lucrative business .
An electric vacuum pump maybe with a canister to mount near the brake booster also this person should be able to rebuild the brake booster. I have never looked into the internal workings of a brake booster but I think it would need a diaphragm and maybe some o-rings.
If anyone wants to pursue this idea please give a shout out. You do not need to give away any secrets like you are taking your wife's vacuum cleaner apart because it really sucks.
This idea was brought to you by mixing Captain Morgan's Parrot Bay Coconut Rum and Mountain Dew. Sipped quickly therefore entering the bloodstream and rushing to the brain cells that I have in retirement which in turn spawns new and creative ideas to make other people rich.

The creator of the the model bus definitely has seen a Wild Westerner but was apparently not aware it was year model specific.
Does anyone know how to get in touch with Mr Tyler In Hawaii I need to forward certification decals to him for his Wild Westerner.
Can u dig it.

Hippie Fest Myrtle Yesterday,,,
Although there was the most wild looking V-DUBS I ever seen.
I am happy to announce that we won a trophy for funkiest VW at Hippie Fest.
It was announced that we had a special edition bus and an exclusive club with members all over the world. This makes the many hours of labor to bring back to life an almost forgotten breed of VW, worthwhile .
I am in one of these pictures (a hint) I'm not sitting on a stool.
Sorry for all the corrections the Rum has worn off now and i can think clearly now
