More ideas:
Tow truck
Sign truck
Imagine putting a smooth deck on back and a rack to hold 8 0r more surfboards. Surfboard rentals .
A wide stripe canopy on back matching The Wild Westerner Colors great for parades advertising many businesses HVAC, Porn Stars, A hugh wood keg bootleg beer and or shine.

Anyone that may go to Lake Ellisor Salvage yard please look at all 73 to 79 vans that look like they do not have an original VW color. The m-code plate should have a 736 to identify a True Wild Westerner.

Bilk,
I am going to Interstste tommorrow. Need some parts for my 79 bus. I will do a good scan of what Jim has left. The WW up north for 2200 is missing a lot of parts.
Trans, motor, rear seats, slider, passenger door, rear hatch, engine lid, front electric seems to be cut, rear bumper.
The hunt continues. I would be way under water on that one.

Super, as mentioned some have been repainted and the key is 736 on the m code plate.

Also as mentioned, at some point this year I will mobile and if anyone knows of any salvage yards that need to be checked please post.

It is my plan to locate, register as well report any Wild Westerners that can be bought for those interested in owning these fun machines.

The gathering in Spokane will blast meeting everyone and hearing their story about their Wild Westerner.

Oh, if any of you adults are going egg hunting this weekend with their Wild Westerner, please make sure the pictures you post are "G" Rated. We really don't know who is a peeking at our forum.

Shame on you

Update on interstate VW. There are no WW lurking in there with a different paint job. The only one is the hacked up truck thing. He does have a few Champagne editions and a late panel with a rear hatch that has the rare rear window delete. I used to have one of these, a real pain to drive. Talk about blind spots.

Jim has to move because the land lord is selling the land. Even he is not sure what the future holds for his business. He has a lot of parts and containers and vehicles could cost a small fortune to move all that.

Yes, just a little while ago he sent me a picture of the m code plate and I have already mailed decals to Jacob. Hopefully, someone will work out a deal and put it back together. It sounds as if they will need to go to Lake Ellisor and get a complete parts bus.

Thanks for the scoop, I will take Lake Ellisor off of my list to visit unless needing parts.

So Lake Ellisor has only one and that is the converted single cab Wild Westerner for sale.

I do like the print it would look good on the back of the shirt.

I am skared to google wamego for a meaning however, it sounds like a sexual act. Very Happy

Good news and bad news

The bad we have lost another Wild Westerner to Germany.

The good news we now have a New Member To The Club in Germany.

The new owner will announce its arrival.

Three Wild Westerners have been bought and shipped to Germany. This in itself should make you wake and smell the coffee. We need to find and revive all Wild Westerners.

Our goal is to have one all 50 states, Hawaii has one and Alaska did have one until it was bought and brought back to the lower 48. Brick wall

Confusion say :
What

I saw that the stripe isn't in the recess for the slider handle on this one, either. Weird that some are and some apparently aren't.

Doesn't look like he has posted in this thread, so I'll shoot him a PM.

I remember seeing the Snoopy gas lid before. Someone in Texas?

I need someone on the West Coast to try and contact the owner of the Wild Westerner that Sunnydog posted a few weeks back. The ad is currently on craigslist Eugene Oregon (Cottage Grove).

I really don't understand why people go to the trouble of posting ads and then do not take calls or return them.

Maybe because it is I have a East Coast number ???

For some reason I want to say I have seen this Wild Westerner listed before abt 3 years ago. Let Tim know we have buyers looking and we would like to register it before it is sold and lost.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also in the Ventura Craigslist there is an ad for 700 vw's for sale east semi valley, if we have anyone that could check out that salvage yard that would be great.

FYI - Those "700 VWs" are not in Simi Valley. They are in "middle America" according to the seller. 10 car minimum purchase, and no actual pictures.

Do we have anyone in the area ?
