| I am doing a rebuild on a Type 4 air cooled 2.0L and wasnt sure what heads I should use. I found New AMC heads for $300 each (please let me know if you know where to get them cheaper) but I heard that they dont keep the engine as cool as the stock heads. But then I heard ALWAYS use new heads when rebuilding an engine if you are going to keep it for a long time. Also if anyone knows of a better head I would love to hear it. Thanks |

| I would definately get the heads rebuilt by Rimco. They are the best in the buisness and will solve the drop valve seat issue. It will cost around $500. Do some searches on the shoptalkforums. Everyone directs to Rimco. |
