I'll contact the Marymoor Park people tomorrow about a future meetup, last time I talked to them they wanted a heads-up in advance, not like what we did last year _________________ 87 Syncro Westy EJ25 ("Tardis")

Every Westy's for sale - just at the right price. _________________ '90 White Westy ("The Longship")

Generally speaking, yes.
But my wife and I got married in "our" 87 Westy Weekender so you'll have to talk to her. |

New to Westy I have a 1989 Camper. Previously a sailboat live aboard I have reluctantly sold my sailboat 51' and bought a smaller vessel 36' and a house. I love to tinker and have at one time or another owned most of the VW products. The Westy is my land yacht escape vehicle. I look forward to camping and meeting with others for fun and a mutual enjoyment of the life style. |

Old Ben Gun
Several of the boats I work on are at Dock St. Not long ago I started seeing a white westy in the area quite often. Is that you? Old town up 30th and all around Proctor district I see many Westfalias. My wife and I were eating at East West the other day. We were sitting by the window and a white westy with a longboard on top went by 30 seconds later a different white westy went by going the opposite direction. I think one of those was the one I keep seeing down around Dock St. |

I live aboard my sailboat in Olympia. By land or by sea, there are plenty of adventures to chase! _________________ '90 White Westy ("The Longship")

Just picked up our first Westy in January. Already had the dash out and updated the front heater. SOOO much fun.
When is the next Seattle area event? |

The cult thrives here in West(y) Seattle. There are two on my block near Morgan Junction and probably a third will join the crowd before long. There are about half a dozen or more that I see on a regular basis plus the interlopers. |

Q: Is there any Vanagon meetups coming up? I noticed PNW Springfest is coming, but it looks more bug oriented. Would like to show off the Westy and meet others. _________________ == My Rides ==

PNW Springmeet will be worth checking out if your a VW van. All types of VW's will be there. Plus I'll be selling some T3 bits at the swap! _________________ 1990 lifted 2wd (for now..) Vanagon "Savanna"

really, is this all we got. i was so excited to move here last year and even more thrilled to see so many vans.
i keep seeing tons of meetups everywhere else in the country but none here.
sadly it seems the hipster culture hit seattle harder than we all thought, everybody is too cool for a gathering of the masses.
maybe ill follow suit and get a flannel shirt, some black rimmed glasses, grow a mustache, re-vamp my music collection to all indie rock and sip on the latest herb infused concoction. meanwhile trying to find an equally cliche woman so i can talk about politics and news headlines i try to spin off as my own and i can listen to her talk about how after 30 years she discovered gluten is the reason for all the problems in life.
seriously, ive seen more vans here than anywhere in the country. maybe it is a secret society and im just not cool enough. |

Sounds like you're volunteering to host a meetup?
BTW, there are tons of gatherings. Check the WetWesties yahoogroup/facebook page. Mostly Westies, mostly camping, but there are gatherings.
