Surely you mean parking...
2016 Marymoor event. (Redmond, WA) Nov 13. Could be a lot of vans there, maybe 50 or more.

New Westy owner in NE Seattle here. I'm in Wedgwood to be precise. Here is a picture of our new white Westy Kirsche.
I'm not new to VW van ownership though. We moved out to Seattle in the late '80s in this '72 bus (pictured at Lake Kachess).
The Vanagon is my replacement vehicle for the 2012 TDI SportWagen that I'm selling back to VW soon. I'll miss that car a lot, but can't pass up being paid by VW to drive it for two years. I only drive to work one day a week now too, so the Westy seemed like a good idea. Let's hope it continues to be one... and yes, I have changed my fuel lines, and lots of other things too. |

Nice van. I'm in Wedgewood as well, with two tin tops. We have quite a contingent in our hood. I've counted 8 within a 8 block radius. |

Thanks! Yeah, I've spotted a bunch on the streets near my house. A couple look like they have not moved in a while though. If my schedule permits, I'm hoping to make it to the meet-up on Sunday. I'm curious to see how some of the mods I've read about here look in the flesh. _________________ 1990 Westfalia Vanagon

Thought I would bump this thread. Moved to Olympia with an 86 club joker Syncro. Noticed there is a Wet Westies campout next weekend at deception pass. Anyone on here attending?

Welcome to the PNW!
I won't be able to attend the Deception Pass campout this year, but I've done it in the past. It could get very chilly this time of the year, be prepared. The WetWesties are a vey nice bunch of folks, I'm sure you'll like them!
1 - I think all reservable sites are already taken, but from the discussion in the WetWesties list/group there're several sites that are only available on-site (so there should be plenty to choose from). If none are available, I believe the ranger allows Westies to double-up on the sites - you won't have a problem camping out.
2 - Saturday is potluck night, bring a dish (any dish) to share and get ready for long conversations by the fire.
3 - If you haven't done it yet, join the WetWesties mailing list and the WetWesties Facebook group (they're complementary to each other) to get up to date information on campouts.
Hope to see you in a future campout! Due to the outstanding ski season, I think our first WetWesties campout this year will be at BayView or Fort Flagler in April (Fort Flagler is an awesome place to camp) _________________ 87 Syncro Westy EJ25 ("Tardis")

Thanks kayak. I have subscribed to the facebook page. We moved from Montana and are accustomed to cold weather camping. However, growing up near Portland I forgot how much colder 33 and damp is than 10 degrees and dry. Ill get the gas heater swapped out for a diesel one of these days.
We were planning on doing some skiing this weekend as well. Except, it seems that I just had a failure in my right front CV. Annoying because I just replaced the Left Front. Hope to get it wrapped up before the camp out. The good news is we have a few dry days ahead of us. AH...nothing like a Saturday on your back in the wet driveway in February. The Syncro is such a humbling machine. _________________ 87 Syncro sunroof w/ 2.5 Subaru.

Unfortunately there won't be a Meetup at Marymoor this year - Phase 2 restrictions in King County severely limit the amount of people that could attend the meeting.
Let's play it safe this year, and we'll all party again the next one! _________________ 87 Syncro Westy EJ25 ("Tardis")

Any more info on this? I don’t know if it’s worth the drive for me, but I’d love to see some VWs. And their owners. _________________ 1985 Tintop 4 sp GW 2.3 “Connie”
