OK, well, can anybody tell me where we can order the following facia/fabric/covering material?????

I am not aware of having seen a source of this anywhere.

That only matches the 1980 to 1984 vans. I called GoWesty about this some time ago. They don't have one for the later vans.

My interior isn't the grey at all but kind of a, well, I don't really know what colour to call it, light salmon ?

I have brown trim and that light-ish brown / salmon colour formica.

Has anyone found a match for that Formica colour at all ?

I want to redo my rear seat kick panel, etc ....

If not, I'll investigate further and post if no one knows off hand ...

Hi Volkmar,
Very nice work on the cabinets!!!!
You have the right kind of woman too.

It looks like the Doka has the entire rear open for entering the camper. The high top is superb as well.

Do you get the rubber edging from Gunzl at busshop.de? I am thinking of building some cabinets for the back of my G500, and would like them to look as close as possible to the cabinets in my 1989 Westfalia.

Yes, I think he's the only one where you can get that stuff.

http://www.vwbusshop.de/

But I don't know if it is still available.

Cheers,
Volkmar

Reviving this thread to see if anyone in North America has the door edging? I am going to do the rear closet fridge door mod but do not have an extra door and want to use the cut out piece, but need edging if at all possible. Smile

I am in the same boat. I need both the door edging and the corner bumper

I just spoke with Frank Condelli and he does not have it.

Any source in the USA? Anyone else is interested in a bulk order from Reimo?

I ordered both of those via Frank C. recently to see if they'll work for me. I got them in and they will not suffice for my needs. Bummer.

The right shade grey trim is made for a 13mm thick panel. too think. the trim that is the correct size at 17mm for a 5/8" thick door panel is too light in color. oh well.

I ordered the other trim for around the tables and cabinets from Reimo. I was not easy nor cheap. I can help you find the exact match if you're interested. PM me.

I conducted an Olympics matching of 16 store-bought common spray paints last week to see which best matched the Westfalia interior. A link to the results of that test belongs in this thread. The results are here: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=9755487&highlight=#9755487 and on the page following where you can see the actual photos.
