it's just that 1.8Ts bring an added level of complexity and costs involved.
the ABA 2.0 is a fine engine to power a vanagon, Fuel injected or (properly) carbureted |

Spent a bit of the day cruising the posts re: the 1.8T, and felt compelled to write. Had a dozen V dubs, and Stephan White stands as the best wrench service I have ever experienced. Did my conversion on time and within budget, drove ALL THE WAY to the coast from Sacto when a problem surfaced with the power steering a few weeks later. Later would overnight an accelerator pedal when mine broke. Give you his personal phone number when you pick up your van AND answers it when you call. This is a person who understands that without integrity nothing works.
