I just recently picked up this distributor. It is a 0 231 129 025. It has an early VW mounting bracket attached to it. The gentleman I got it from never ran it so he could not tell me anything about it. Have any of you seen or run one before?

It's not VW... could be NSU.
Bosch did make distributors form many other manufactures.
Ever see a "029" Screamer?

Does it have a two lobe points cam? It kinda looks like it in the pic.

I think Casey is right. It looks like the dizzy on the 2 cylinder AC engine in a Halflinger I worked on last year.

I see 4 lobes and the JFR4 tells me it's a 4 cylinder.
Here's what a 2 lobe (cylinder) looks like.
