still don't make it kewl

maybe we need to support this campaign
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1173578

Quote:
Anti-fake patina decals Price: $1 each
"Friends don't let friends fauxtina"

Fake patina is lame. Blending in repairs on an already patina'd car is one thing... making your decent car rust or distressing a good car is just retarded.

Show your love and pride of real aged paint with these stickers! Let mother nature handle the paint.

$1 each shipped!

1.5" x 4"

Vinyl with UV-cured inks, which are completely scratch-proof and fade-proof. When applied properly to a clean, dry, smooth surface, these stickers are there to stay.

Fake Patina. Just say no.

I have brown font and white font, both are semi legible, but that was sort of the point...

I just got an email reminder about Floyd Fest, a yearly music festival in Floyd Virginia. They offer on-site camping and even have a special section for VW campers.

Brown Westy passes in the background at about 4:30 and cream Westy parked at an overlook at about 9:30.

Interestingly, they stuck in photos from a Greek wildfire along with the SoCal pix. The Vanagon pix are from Greece and not from the I-15 mountain pass.

Does any one know about this van? SAG support for a border to border bicycle ride to raise money for charity.

http://comediansincarsgettingcoffee.com/

The latest with SEBASTIAN MANISCALCOl has a Vanagon in it. A very heavy set shirtless guy with a bad tanline is with a very small dog, then a Vanagon goes by. I'm sure someone has seen this van before. Cool

Another stupid click-bait article.
Comparing the asking price of a completely customized Syncro to a base model Sprinter with no camping features at all is not realistic. The headline is misleading, implying that a new Sprinter is cheaper than an old Vanagon.
Anybody can see that a new vehicle is going to be smarter and safer than a 25-year-old vehicle, so nothing new there.
Then the article goes on to admit that a Syncro has better traction than the 4x4 Sprinter! Rolling Eyes

Not to mention the fact that the Sprinter has a box... filled with nothing... (or seats I suppose.)

any amenities you want are $$ to the "low cost."

After watching a John Hiatt clip on YouTube I tried the browser back button and got this unrelated shot, evidently from a Vanagon vs. Eurovan comparo,
