My dash is missing these covers over the vents. Can someone tell me what they are called so I can try to find a pair? Thanks!

I thought someone was reproducing those, I can't find them on Busdepot (can't find anything there anymore ), maybe Airhead, WW or CIP? _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

it'd be in your best interest to find some clean, OG ones.
I have no experience w/ the repops, but have a pretty good guess as to their quality level. _________________ 71 Ghia A/S - 88 Van A/T - 13 JSW TDI 6M/T |

Agreed, unless they are cheap, somethings better than nothing until you find a real set.

just watch for some good ones that still have all the plastic clips on the bottom. Clean them with soapy water and a tooth brush then dry for a day. Then paint with SEM black plastic paint. They'll look like new and fit right. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

I went ahead and ordered the ones that CIP has and they just arrived. They look good and snapped right in. I suppose they could melt but that would mean I was getting warm air through the vents. That wouldn't be all bad! _________________ David

Here you go. The bus is currently up on jack stands in the garage so it was hard to get a good picture without glare/reflection from the windshield. This is the passenger-side vent looking through the windshield from the outside.

Yes, they fit great. Not only that but they arrived very fast. I just got the shipping notice email from CIP yesterday and DHL delivered this morning. _________________ David

I still don't understand why so many people are having trouble searching the new site.
11 bucks from busdepot.

At least you got some. I ended up buying the same ones you did from CIP after the BusDepot had to backorder a pair.
I cancelled at BD - it seems like a third of the things I order from them go to backorder although it indicates in stock.
At least CIP gives an instant notice if something's out of stock - they don't let it go to your cart and be paid for if they don't have it.
So far the ones from CIP seem as good as OEM. |

Same experience with Busdepot - always frustrated to put an order in and then see how much of it isn't actually available. _________________ - Travis

Nowhere on BusDepot's website does it indicate if a particular part is in stock. Ron does not run live inventory since he uses multiple suppliers, among other reasons.

And neither does BusDepot. Nothing is charged to your credit card until your order is complete and ready to be shipped. BD is far from perfect, but let's not go spreading blatant lies about a small business that does its best to serve our ACVW community. _________________ First Trip in the RustyBus:
