ShurFlo vs OEM Faucet

I'm re-doing the old, smelly, non-functioning house water system in my 1990 Vanagon Syncro Westy.

Should I opt for the OEM faucet (I sorta like the idea of "all original") like:

OR
Should I opt for the ever-popular Shurflo, like:

Anyone with some experience with both?
Is regulating water flow really cool?
Is the ShurFlo really "all that and more?"
Anyone given this the Pros/Cons treatment yet?

Shurflo is an upgrade. Want the old look of the stock faucet or better performance? That simple.

I like stock less $ and my cheap European material faucet is 25 years old and still works!

New repro "OEM" faucets might not be such good quality. My new one busted a couple months after I put it on. I replaced with Shurflo, and like the Shurflo much better. For one thing, you can control the volume of water coming out--it's not just on/off.

Shurflo flows like a river. Fills up a big pot much quicker than stock faucet.

yes, it has been discussed at length, a very helpful discussion too!! I've had mine over a year, and I really like it. while making the decision, I was really torn, because I want my westfalia to be as original as possible. which is kind of silly, because it is an 84, but has the engine, front grill, seats and some other parts from an 86.

I had to replace the faucet and pump though. I went with the shur flo because the price was actually cheaper. my dad's 85 has the original faucet and I like it too. for me, water flow was not the issue, because it only means you run out sooner. but what the biggest deal to me for the shur flo is the ability to move it up and down to accomodate a taller pan in the sink. I really do like mine. and I'm glad I got it.
