Greetings, I just picked up a 1960 single cab project but it is missing the doors. Does anybody have any leads to where I could find a set? It appears they are hard to come by.

Mine are modified but rust and rot free (65 deluxe), i'd let them go at a good price. Otherwise there's of some in the classifieds. Private message me if your interested. Goodluck on the hunt!

65 doors don't fit a '60.

Yes, please use the classifieds.
I am sure there are some listed.

We don't typically allow wanted ads in the Forums.
(But do allow questions about where to buy something, this thread is borderline)

Sorry about the misplaced topic, please excuse my ignorance. A better question would be what year door should I be looking for? I am not familiar with buses at all.

Take some time, search the forums, start reading. Here are a couple.

When looking pay attention to rust at the bottom and hinge damage. Lower hinges seem to be the worst from my experience. You wont find many (or any) that are perfect. But these are the typical trouble spots.

If the door has been stripped of its parts a 60 and down door is the easiest to buy parts for. WW has the latch mechanisms for cheep.

Gerson is coming out with new/reproduction doors as well. I would check with him to see where he is at with those.

Ok, I understand. This is a good question as there are various door changes.

Ideally you want a 56-early 1961 door.
One that has a "flat" area for the door handle to mount.

1955 is the same too but there have been some comments that the '55 door has a slightly different shape.

very good advice. Doors can look good but can have broken hinges. Look at the riveted area for cracks. With prices as high as they are for doors in the classified, I'd want them to be workable at least.
