I'd like to see more ideas if anyone else has pictures. I have a stock bumper with the over riders removed (ghetto euro blade). I attached my plate with some random brackets I found in my dads garage, but it sits about 2" from the ground and I'd like the license plate to last longer than backing out of the driveway. Thanks! |

That looks like it worked out nicely! I would cover the backside of the plate with something that won't destroy the paint. I don't know exactly how rigid that mount is so its just a suggestion. But I would hate to take that thing up to speed, and have the hardware rub against the clean paint from the wind pressing on it. |
My thoughts also. You can put some foam weather strip tape over the back where it might hit. _________________ Mic

IMO, That bracket looks ridiculous. Nerf bars were designed to be the bare minimum, and now there's the big ol bracket of plate hanging on one side, waving around. I'd either risk the tickets or put a proper bumper on. |

I have to agree... Just stick it up in the window like I suggested earlier... A square front plate just detracts from the beauty of the Bugs round front end, especially when T-bars are used. _________________ ✠Miklo✠

Run some bailing wire between the T-bars and thread the plate on. |
I'd go with this method, or hang it from the hood handle with a bungee cord. |

Any ideas how to mount the front plate with T-bars? Pictures would be great, but any ideas are welcome. |
I made a simple bracket that I sandwiched between the hood and hood handle, it is very secure. I also cut the license plate and frame to give it a more slim look.

Well, that's almost as good as my bungee cord idea! |

I always zip tied it to the bottom side of the sun visor...and flipped down the sun visor when I spotted a cop (or he spotted me.) |

^^That black split window is too nice to have that setup that way! Very nice car. Looks mean! would look better without a plate altogether. Tell me you have a decent motor in that??? |

OK, here's what I made, I don't think it looks awesome, but its functional. I'll use it when traveling to work, and remove it when I'm just cruisin'.

I think that would look a lot better if you shortened it so the tag was closer to the T bar.

In Maryland its a big fine for cutting the tag even if it does look a lot better. _________________ Mother Nature is a Mean Evil Bitch! |
