He is not posting prices to keep within the forum rules. Given the amount of interest there will likely be a classified ad soon, which is the right way to do it.

I'd be interested in seeing the inside finish. How are you gluing these to the plastic? I've always had a hard time finding glues that will hold over the long term given the heat that can build up inside a car.

Awesome idea, Thanks!

Mine arrived yesterday.
Beautiful details,,, looks sweet with Colin's stylie cupholders..

But now I am sorely lacking in the steering wheel department.
..and the instr. cover yells, "Cover the entire dash with leather, baby!.. wood trim.. black chrome!"

oh! the slippery slope.

No pics.. my desktop is down.

I should probably post up my leather 944 and original Bluestar wheels in the classifieds, so folks with these new fancy-schmancy clusters can go full Monty in the bling kaching-ching department.

So a four page infomercial is okay, whereas saying they cost $350 is not?

That's dumb.

Discussing a new potential product is OK.

Stating I got these things for sale for a certain price is not.

That is what an ad is for.

I know, I know, but those are the rules.....

Shall I lock this now?

That would go nice with my new black leather seats with white stitching, but at $299, it would be almost as expensive as the seats and brackets combined. To each his own, but at $150, I'd still be on the fence about a purchase. I could probably have it done locally for about $100. Just my &.02.

I recovered my dash,

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5...highlight=

I looked long and hard at the instrument cover thinking "how can I cover that?".......

This is a great idea and it would finish off the dash but at $300....., a little rich for me right now.

I am with you. I love this idea and one of my local shops would do it for $100-150 depending on the type of leather(top grain, suede, ultraleather etc.) and it's a place that has done many award winning show cars.

That being said I am installing a Jetta instrument cluster and will be getting rid of the old cover and making one that contours and looks right with the new cluster.
