Finished up the wiring finally. Kept burning lights until we figured out the 6v/12v bulbs and all is good now.
Left a power/remote lead for radio, along with a couple of speaker wires. Also a wire is hanging for the eventual install of a cigarette lighter that I can use for a phone charger.
Ebrake and pedals are into.

New correct wiper assembly also went in. In a prior post, I listed what came out of the bus, which was a later multi speed wiper.

The garage is a great place to be. The bus is looking fantastic! _________________ and take the kids for instance "Are we going in the Volkswagen bus?" and they say "Yay!" and clap their hands and if it's a glorious day you can slide the sunroof back and let a little of the glory in and all of a sudden, it stops looking funny.

Finished assembly of the popout glass and front door glass. They are ready to go in, once the headliner is installed.

Izz, who sold me the raw safari frames went missing after I had them painted, so I was left without glass. Luckily someone told me Wolfgang had glass template for Izz frames, so sent the frames to them to have glass installed. They did a great job.

Anyone know if I can put in the sunroof rails before the headliner goes in? Will it get in the way? Picked these up from vw sunroofs.

Keep the updates coming. No, the sunroof rails won't be in the way. |

Bus looks good.
Check that your dome light bulbs are 12V 5W as well. The 12V10W bulbs will melt the dome lights if left on very long.
If that jute padding insulation absorbs moisture, you may want to remove it from the cab doors. Water does runs through the doors when it rains, and the insulation will get soggy, and hold the moisture against the door. It will take a while to dry out. Well, maybe it won't rain again in California. |

I was wondering about water run off. Does it really go all over the door or stick mostly to the ends of the door? I don't plan to drive it in the rain but it will get washed, so great insight...better to think of it now. If necessary I could take the padding off and just leave the dyno mat under neath. |

Rear cargo door is now in and lined up, but sticking out about 1/4 of an inch due to insulation/trim. Hoping the door will indent the insulation so I can start to creep it tighter.

Any ideas on how I can keep this jute padding in place without using spray adhesive, which will look ugly if ever removed.
I will have seatbelts, so the lower portion I can bolt down with seatbelt anchors (4 in total), but wondering what to do with the upper portion. Afraid everything will just slide around unless its anchored. Thoughts? |

Maybe some Velcro pieces with two sided tape adhesive. Place it in a few areas around the perimeter of the padding. You probably wouldn't need much of it to secure it down.
BTW, your bus looks great. I live in San Jose, I would love to check it out once you are done! |

The insulation will be much more effective if it is glued down. _________________ EMPI Power Rules! |

Use hot glue from a hot glue gun.
It will hold it in place.
If you need to remove it, the hot glue will peel off and leave no trace. _________________
