For the love of dog and all that is holy, please come up with a better solution than this.

Interior panels were next. Managed to get all of them in with the exception of the very back.

I decided to glue (lightly) the jute padding to the rear deck. I can pull it up without damage to paint, in case I need to remove it later.

As for the main floor, I just could not bring myself to gluing the padding down to the floor, so instead decided to glue the padding to the back of the rubber mat. Came out ok.

Alignment....help needed.

We did a toe set in the front using the spec's from a bay window. For the rear, the bus has swing axle, and it shows positive 4 degrees of camber. Two questions:

1) Is the camber that far off because the the bus has been off the round for so long? How long before it settles? How much difference will the bumper and interior make in bringing the back down a bit more?

2) The swing axle plates are slotted. Is the only adjustment in the back made for toe (allow bus to track straight)? Anything else to consider in where to lock down the bolts in the slots?

I was concerned about the routing of the oil lines for the remote filter, so found some info on this site about wrapping them with header wrap and built a bracket to hold the lines in place.

Made some more progress. Added the breather box to the back of the motor, got the motor in the bay and buttoned up a few other items.

For the gas tank, I put jute padding under the tank and dynomat cut exactly to the size of the straps, between the straps and the tank. Looks to be holding nicely.

You might want to put four ~1.5" wide x 4" long pieces of felt padding in between the gas tank straps & gas tank (at top of tank corners). Lookin' good tho... real good.

Time for the headliner to go in. Glad I didn't try this at home.

Might want to hold off until you fit the seat... to avoid any potential interference points (I'm thinking firewall in front of luggage area?).

Use hot glue from a hot glue gun.
It will hold it in place.
If you need to remove it, the hot glue will peel off and leave no trace.

The insulation will be much more effective if it is glued down.

I will have seatbelts, so the lower portion I can bolt down with seatbelt anchors (4 in total), but wondering what to do with the upper portion. Afraid everything will just slide around unless its anchored. Thoughts?

Maybe some Velcro pieces with two sided tape adhesive. Place it in a few areas around the perimeter of the padding. You probably wouldn't need much of it to secure it down.

BTW, your bus looks great. I live in San Jose, I would love to check it out once you are done!

Rear cargo door is now in and lined up, but sticking out about 1/4 of an inch due to insulation/trim. Hoping the door will indent the insulation so I can start to creep it tighter.
