I have finally found a cool split bus, it is a white 61 camper bus. I saw the roof behind a wall and stopped to ask about it and the owner was nice. They have had the bus since 1968 and somehow nobody ever saw it sitting in the yard. The lady was named Georgia and that is what we are calling the bus. Tomorrow I will start clearing the escape path. Pretty nice straight bus with not much damage or rust. I'm excited, I made an offer and the owner said that it was "more than fair" did I mention I got it for 300 bucks? Shocked Fun bus imo, can't wait to drop thousands into her. Laughing

It is a walkthrough and it has the front seats. The taillights are 40 something Chevy, the owner said he put them in. He said the engine blew on a trip in Mexico taking his kids fishing. It was purchased here in Prescott Az. by the owner for 1,432.08 in October 1968.

I was searching for buses with the same walkthrough and mine is different. It has bulkheads like this picture, so it is a swivel seat bus. Cool

Wow . For $300 is a major score!

Hopefully your seats look like these seats here. Worth thousands now.

Don't think that's the bus he found. That's a picture of another bus.

I can't wait to see if both seats swivel! I never even heard of a swivel seat bus until last night, is it rare? I hope it has alot of cool parts inside. We found a hubcap and a 15 inch crows foot wheel, but today we will find the rest out.

I think most SS Buses only had a drivers seat.
That being said, you scored a FUCKING MAJOR COOL BUS !!!!!
I mean Double Door Swivel Seat, 1961 -round tail lights & nipple front blinks, for $300...... Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

I see you put it on the SS thread, maybe drop a pick on the Today in Bus Hunting History, I'd say this is one of the coolest finds of the year.

The tail lights are from a '54 Chevy. Put the lights on eBay, someone might want the chrome ring if they are in good condition.

It's definitely a panel van camper conversion unless they closed up the rear set of windows. Either way, nice score!
