Hey,
I'm rebuilding my 2161cc over the winter and need some advice on which rocker arms and which pushrods to buy. I had an engle 120 but am changing to the fk-8. I notice that John at aircooled.net sells the scat 1.4's with the proper length pushrods, but I was also thinking of the cb performance rockers. Any advice. The valve train is not my strong area and buying already cut to length pushrods from ACN seems like the way to go. Thanks
Specs:
2161cc 90.5 x 84
Steve Tim's stage 2's 42x37.5
Engle fk-8
Engle lifters
Unknown rockers and pushrods
Dual dellorto 48 drla's
A1 1 5/8 merged header with A1 muffler
Cb crank trigger ignition

they are only the "correct length" for a stock-ish 1600. If you are building a new engine with a new cam, you'll have to figure out the length, and order them built to that length.

thanks John. So I will have to get the pushrod tool, measure the length, and then order them at that length. Do you press the ends in too?
I had a problem a few years back, I ordered a set of stock length bug pack rods and the ends had to be installed, I couldn't do it and I talked to a few shops in this small town I live in and nobody had seen this style before nore could anybody press them in. One guy tried, but bent the rod.

CORRECT!

If you order them cut/assembled you'll receive them with the tip to tip length you specified when you ordered. Just clean, lube, and install.

better check for coil bind /guide to keeper clearance before final cut& assembly.I havent use d the scat 1.4's but not all rockers are what they say they are that type is a progressive ratio, the more lobe lift the more raito on most all rockers of that type.some more than others some less.some check out at 1.55 , and geo also changes it.do your real time checks first or shit will start bending&breaking if it's off.calculator dont get it.

Idea I used an old lifter for tapping the ends on a new cut push rod....worked for me.
