Does any one make a mechanical fuel pump that has screw in fittings instead of the slip on ??? _________________ Looking for SP Kadron manifolds...please !!

You could always opt for an original that's been restored to better than new condition.
I got one from Ed Fall of Vintage Werks, a member here on the forum, and it's a thing of beauty.

Indeed a thing of beauty!!!
I'll be runnin' a 1955 with an alternator, and I don't see any of those working for that. Makes me want to build a 36, however.... _________________ Looking for SP Kadron manifolds...please !!

If you're looking for a pump for the 40HP and newer engines with both inlet and outlets threaded, you won't find it. The 40HP (and mid-late 60s Bus) style pump does have a threaded INlet, but the outlet is a push-on fitting. |

Yeah, I suspected as much. It would be easier if VW had made them that way, but they never did after the change from 36HP to 40HP. |

I'm sure someone has used compression fittings on the hard lines from the pump before. Is that doable? _________________ Copyright CJ Industries, Inc.

VW had a steel outlet line for awhile on later pumps but even that had the cloth wound lines at each end. _________________ Roads Scholar &
