This guy
does this, in seconds
thats how I did the undercoat removal on my whole car
After cleaning off, it's easy to strip back to bare metal with the grinder and a twisted wire wheel or something like Norton rapid strip dics. _________________ http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/jim_martin_engine_build.php

What happened to this car? _________________ I'd be UNSTOPPABLE if not for Law Enforcement and PHYSICS.
I recycle old cars and parts, other than when I rot, that's as Green as I am going to get.
Thanks to my Tesla driving neighbors, I feel more relaxed driving my SUBURBAN and old VW's.

So, I apologize for not ever bringing this thread to a close…
I did get the car to the point where it was ready for bodywork and paint, and dropped it off with the owner. They had a shop lined up, but the delivery date kept getting moved back, and I fear that the car is just sitting in storage in Philadelphia somewhere still. My biggest fear is that the crates with the glass and bumpers and type 34 specific items get lost, or separated from the car. _________________ modok wrote:
