After talking to some Bay owners at BugJam, There seems to be a bit of interest in an all Bay gathering much like Bulli Brigade or other Split bus functions. For those not in the know, the Bulli's meet the day before Bugjam which sets up the whole weekend for ACVW's. The No Dough Bus Show is coming up and the Bulli's are having a spring meet.
Is there any interest in a Baywindow gathering on the Sat. before NDBS? I would like to plan something, but only if there is some interest. It would be in the Port Orange/Daytona area for a few hours to hang before the evenings pre show party. If this works out it could turn into a regular happening. I'm looking forward to any input/suggestions.
Lets get this rolling.
Erik

Is NDBS still in Feb? I could take the time off from work, and have in years passed to drive down for Winterjam, and NDBS I it's first year. I might be so inclined to take the auto train, just to save myself the "seat" time.
Depending on when the show is, I'd be interested in a all Bay gathering.
I hope there's cupcakes, rainbows and unicorns though... _________________ Mike

I'd probably do train. Driving is fun, but I'd want to bring my bus, and frankly a two day drive for what would be a couple day stay is tough. I'd probably head down a couple days before the show, and stay another 2-3 after. Make it like a week long stay.
Lets talk... _________________ Mike

Schedule
saturday April 13;bulli brigade spring meet
saturday April 13;beach gathering hosted by oil puddlers vw club c for those not attending the bulli brigade
saturday April 13;pre show party at guissepies pizza 6pm till........
saturday April 14;No Dough Bus Show 8am to 4pm..1000 City Center circle C Pt.Orange,Fl.
...Might just be me, but..I have always done well for parts at the bullie shows. I will be in the Nova campground in Pt. Orange if the work schedule allows ....see you there
One idea would be to get bays to the pizza party early and we can do our own row...I'd definately be in for that Or a friday night April 12th gathering of our own might work; how about a bring a dish cookout friday at the nova. ...any other ideas _________________ 63 two fold rag

Grandpa Pete, you talking about Nova? I had gone to three years of Winterjam/NDBS and each year stayed at Nova. I was very pleased with the CG, and there was lots to do in the area.
This would be a familiar trip for me, so I'm seriously contemplating coming down. Would be much more enticed if we had a bay GTG. _________________ Mike

No problem with Nova. I've got 4 sites reserved. Stayed there last year. Friday night...Might be plausible. This is why I'm inviting ideas. We need more. 5 months for planning. This could be something good! As far as swaps, if this thing moves forward, we will see how it grows. Looking forward to seeing you again Pete. |

What sets do you guys have reserved? Maybe I'll call ahead and reserve for Manny and myself, that way when the time comes I'm not scrambling to find a spot?
I'm very interested, but not going to say I'm 100% for a few weeks yet. But I'd rather have a spot, and have to pass it along than not have a spot and risk missing the fun.
Pot luck dinner sounds cool.
Anyone down there know a good spot to maybe get a coupe buses together in a parking lot? Not saying that in year 1 we need out own show. But a gtg outside the campground, followed or preceded by a little gtg might be kinda fun. _________________ Mike

Next year at Ft. Desoto we can all fit in the parking spaces closest to the picnic area. The reason the bullie people didn't have vendors there was because they couldn't block the handicap spaces from the public..So as long as we park in individual marked spaces we can have our bays and enjoy the parts swap too _________________ 63 two fold rag
