Was replacing my air filter yesterday and found this hanging by the filter box. Anyone know what this is, where it goes, and a guess at why it unplugged?
Thanks for any info! |

Should be on the back of the alternator. Used with some kind of special testing equipment as I understand. _________________ 1984 Westfalia Wolfsburg Edition

And to be clear (so you don't go looking) it was merely attached to some alternators with a clip to keep it out of harm's way -- it does not plug into the alternator.
Has it really been a month since this was last asked? Tempus fugit. |

Funny I never noticed this plug until I was pulling the engine after 4 years of ownership. _________________ TheVanTracker.com - Kill Switch + GPS Tracker + Door-open alerts, made specifically for the Vanagon!
