I ran across these gauges that are only sparsely mentioned on the whole board:

maybe that's because they are for British cars, and not VW? |

Thanks John... but I did ask for info that was NOT already contained in the above mentioned sources of info, however... I DO appreciate you taking the time to 'bust my chops'!
RestoJohnny has been a bit more enlightening though:

Yes they are pretty much a universal gauge for all 4 cylinder car's and were originally for the early mini cooper's but work well in the VW's application... |
I'll have a few others that you can work on though hazetguy... stay tuned. _________________

if you already knew the answer, why bother starting a new thread? what's the point? why not add to one of the other previously existing threads?
google that stuff, look on ebay, it's not "rare". |

The horse before the carriage?
I only got the answer AFTER the posting of this thread... ain't that the way things work around here?
Besides, I still have the opportunity to add to those threads, don't I... I am just not that quick lately, or so I guess.
Should I PM you images of the others AFTER I Google them? How about if they are obviously vintage, yet have no markings? What's left to Google?
I ask because I do not know... not to waste anyone's time, and then there is a record of the question AND answer here in the TS forums for others to find in the future.
Thanks, though, for the help man... I meant when said the ball busting was appreciated.
Thanks! _________________
