Looking good!
So now do you flip it on the other side and get at all the spots you missed?
A nasty job, but the end result is so nice.

I am surprised at the lack of belly pans seeing its a DD sunroof bus

There were belly pans on it but rusted out, thinking to put them back or not.. nasty rat nests was there and rust..

Would screwing them on like a BA6 belly pan make the structure ridged enough?

Ok now there is a news from garage where my friend is doing brakes, and electricity.
There was no OG clutch tube beneath the bus. PO did put some copper tube to use it for clutch wire. My friend says that and some other signs means that this bus were automatic for sure , but probably transmission failure or other trans problems forced PO to replace automatic trans to regular one. So ashtray stays .

The early ones were were, the late bay auto trans with a type4 motor are, in my opinion, fantastic together and smooth as glass. I have had 2 prior to my current '78 bay and I love them. |
