Yes I have used it on many busses and as long as you use the 3 step process it should work great. I first like to fully degrease to a squeaky clean finish, yes I have OCD to the 10th Power Laughing Then I sand everything with a 220 or 180 grit. Then clean and wipe down with lacquer or marine clean which is in the kit. Then I use the metal prep then the por15. I feel for me it’s been a great product and is a very tough finished if applied correctly. Oh yeah, prepping and painting the underside of a bus takes time. I not only por15 the wheel wells but I undercoat over the por15 and paint in grey to match the rest and love it. A little more protection from the debris kicked up by the tires.Try to Be patient do the steps and you will be happy with the results. Good Luck and hope this helps.
Ps: a friend of mine still owns a bus that I por15’ed the bottom of and he says it still looks great for 6 years and is holding up Cool

Great thread, Thanks. Did you use Grey POR-15 on the under side of the Bus? I used it on mine in the cargo area and wondered how it held up on the under side .

Well it’s been about 7 years since I’ve seen my Ol Friend Bo but he came by today and had a visit. Drove from Texas in his Super Solid Camper! And Trust me it is SOLID!!! Very Original and complete, amazing how straight this bus was. Had a great time catching up with Bo and hope to do it soon again. Might even be in his part of town in Texas. Good to see to you my friend, Thanks for comin by. Wink Very Happy Cool

Well its back to the drawing board and in search of a new project.
I just sold the Bus back to its original owner after seeing the finished pics and build he gave me an offer I could not refuse. So how much better than to sell back to the Original owner who already had a sentimental attachment to this Bus! Priceless! I am Super Excited that he has it back. Congrats Bo!!
This bus would be stored inside and never to be sold again as he said when I was turning the title back over to him. A Perfect ending for a True Bus Lover!

Wow what a great job. You and your family went above and beyond what most people would have done to a bus in this condition, most guys would have just squirted it with CLR and called it good. Laughing

Wow! Very impressive build! That bus was lucky to have landed in your hands.....you did such good work on it and with alot of respect to the bus itself....Other build threads could learn from this one.
